As for the rethoric question with hope that "Olimpi" would not win next chempionship, and also why is WIT so useless team...

Rumours are that both "teams" buy the games in domestic chempionsheap, of fix results otherwise. All Georgian teams do it once in a while, but those two are fixing ALL games and negotiate final position of the club at the table this way. If Olimply has enough ransom at certain season to be a champion they are becoming one, if not, someone else does.

I beleive it.

Acctually I hope that whole Georgian fooballing community will follow Demetradze to where he is now, this way or another.
The rotten crap called Georgian football today should be destroyed to the ground to give way to something healthy..

Like they did to GAI and some public offices back in 2004-2005

I haven't been here lately (even though you all know my facebook account), because there is not much to talk about.
When I entered this forum Georgian football was dyeing, so we have tried to save it. Regretably it was hopeless, and it is dead at the moment.

Thats my opinion

That will not happen any time soon, though. The "reforms" which they are doing now are viewed positively by the government, and they are enough to satisfy the average Joe-public in Georgia, so when they get nice new stadiums in Batumi and Kutaisi, the calls to weed out corruption in Umaghlesi will not be too loud.

I obviously didn't watch too many Rustavi and WIT games last season, and everyone knows that corruption is always there, so I could believe anything...but at the same time, Olimpi genuinely had the 2 best players in the league (Brazilians), and WIT's squad was nowhere near as bad as now... and still finished 4th. At the end of the day, it's the amateurish, idiotic way that these clubs are being run, which makes me wish that they would just fucking disappear, or at least for somebody to find a way to stop them representing Georgia in Europe.

Interesting what do they say to they're players after being eliminated - it doesn't matter, we still got the georgian championship ahead.... ??? [smilie=dash1.gif]

Karpaty 1-0 Zestafoni. It's not too bad...they conceded a goal after 5 minutes, and with Georgian teams there is always the danger that they will just fall apart after that. But Zestafoni stayed composed, and actually controlled the game for long spells. I think they have a good chance for the return game.

Not a bad first half, the midfield was really well organised. But Georgian defence and Georgian goalkeeping is something that will never change, it seems. Dinamo didn't really have any good chances for a goal. I'm afraid it looks like they'll go out.

Dinamo - I'll be satisfied if they can get a draw in Tbilisi, they rather won't pass Sturm. But Zesta, I believe, is strong enough to fight for a 4th round, 1-0 away is not as bad as it could be. I'll keep fingers crossed :)

Actually I think Zesta has nice options of qualifying.

About Dinamo, I watched the first half and I was impressed... I never though they were playing so interesting strategic football. This portugalian midfielder is really interesting, really nice, and Djousse. But the best georgians have is Tuktermanidze, what a nice player, really liked him. Also Khmaladze, very experienced even at his age.

The black hole in Dinamo was the right flank, as defender they used a forward apparently... and that was a big mistake, but sadly they don't have more players... anyway, I think Dinamo can manage a miracle in Tbilisi but... sadly I doubt about that.

Anyway I'm glad Zesta and Dinamo are fighting hard... I would love them to do so in every campaign... we would have more hopes and achievements with that...

Hope National Team will also take this example...

i must say that overall both teams have really exceeded my expectations. especially dinamo. I did not think they would manage past gefle but they did with a bunch of completely inexperienced players. 0-2 away is not bad , you never know what can happen but i think even a draw would be ok kresult. as for zesta.. i have no clue why most consider karpaty to be this huge obstacle. if zesta does not eliminate them.. i would consider their 3 round of this competition to be a complete failure. i believe they will overcome 1-0 deficit at home and will advance, they must stay organized in the back and cant allow a tiki tak goals. i believe in zesta but i am also proud of the way dinamo has played. surely exceeded my expectations. ( as long as they dont get beat 8-1 or somethign at home in the secod leg lol )

zesta surely can fight for the play off round, no doubt about that after seeing them play in second half yesterday.
concerning dinamo, well, they really fought hard and the young boys can be proud of it. would be nice if they could get a draw in tbilisi.

while there is a break in te match i want to point out that zestaponi is trying to score in an almost impossible way. with deep balls and high passes from our end of the field to another, we will not win many balls in the air as lvyv players are much bigger and stronger especially in the air. we need more combinatons and we must utilize the flanks too. they have not done ay decent or thoughtfull combinations and when attacking lvyv is much more dirrect and dangerous

a couple of side notes. Dvalishvili has scored again, and on the 41st minute karabag is beating wisla krakow 3-0. just and indication of the fact that azeri footbal has surpassed as and their league is improving tremendously as is khazakhstan's football

Don't tell me about Wisła. I'm just watching the match and being very, very ashamed with that. I think, it's not the Azeri level to improve so much, but Polish club football is nearly dead now. From 4 our teams 3 are playing total shit, the other one simply did not play earlier in the cups, and that's the reason they still try at least. I'm disgusted with Wisła and I wish Qarabağ to score few goals more - maybe that shock will make some people in Poland think about proper ways of building the team...
