Does anyone know when the final squad will be announced for Dinamo Tbilisi?

Also Givi Kvaratskhelia is he a midfielder or defender?

Seturidze is he right back or something else?

Kind of sad to see Koshkadze go but I suppose he is getting older now. I think Torpedo Kutaisi could have done with a player like him in the team to keep the ball with some experience

Khmaladze i guess he has recovered from injury?. What position is he and do you think he is good enough?

Hello brothers.

Well, they apparently are signign Kone (Ivory Coast) and Voskoboinnikov (Estonia), both look like great forwards specially for a team without any natural forward since Tatanashvili left the squad 1 year ago.

Kvaratskhelia is central defender.

Khmaladze is defensive midfielder and he's slowly recovering, looked him against Fenerbahce and did a nice match...

Gabriel Oyimi Obatola is also in trial with Dinamo Tbilisi. He's a 24-years old forward from Nigeria. He played in Portland (MLS). He was bomber in Singapur and in Portland has been not usual, but scored many times... apparently 11 goals in like 25 official matches - not bad.

Let's see what happens. Three forwards in trial, at least one of them has to be part of the team the next season...

Today Dinamo won 3-2 against Torpedo and they're on the top of the league, so I would say... finally Dinamo seems to be back on the rogue! ;)

Today Jaba Dvalia officially signed a 5 year contract with Dinamo Tbilisi.

So now we're talking about something serious...

Gabro I bet one bottle of wine that things aren't going to change with Dvali...

You said New Year, ok we have one friendly match in November so he may be called up... so you have an advantage... do you accept? :)

Give me an 8 weeks
He is in a new team now, so there is a chance he simply will not get along with new team mates and will have a drop.
But if he will keep scoring for Dinamo in a same range as he did for Zesta
I will accept in November, that within 6 month(untill April 2013) he will be called up for NT

I look at a team like BATE Borisov getting into the champions league and this gives me hope for Dinamo.

I dont think they are really much better and didnt Dinamo beat them a few years ago?

Difference is they have stability and play as a team. With stability at Dinamo and a few new signings I think they can do what BATE does.

Imagine the excitment before the draw for the potential of Barcelona and Real Madrid etc playing at the Boris Paichadze stadium on a regular basis!

BATE are better team now, compared to Georgian teams
Getting in Champions legue twice isn't a joke.
To have a picture about real situation in georgian football check youtube videos with a Umaglesi liga games and take a note about the state of most stadiums.
It's ruins, in best case scenario..

Some teams, like Dinamo Batumi don't have a home ground at all ,and play at some community fields without stands

Even Aktobe and Neftchi have modern ifrastructure, selection policy, their teams are smartly made from combination of foreign players and locals. In Georgia only three teams have tried some similar policy: Dinamo, Zesta and Torpedo. Zesta already went down in flames due to incompetence and greed of the club president(there is good Georgian word, "goimoba", to discribe their president, Kokaias attitude towards players, funs, stadium). Torpedo has hired Geguchadze, but their infrastructure and selection does not give much hope either. Dinamo is in deep crisis for different reasons-clinical luck of money, and declining support from Tbilisi football lover who rather support Barselona on TV instead of paying attention on Dinamo.

The rest of Georgian footballing community is below any standards, both infrastructure-wise and mentality-wise.

Worse part is that majority of people in georgia gave up on Georgian football as it seems. There was lot of talk about how to defeat corruption, how to make stadiums but nothing changed.
The Georgian players who play or coach abroad don't want to go back to Georgian teams, this is a good example.

Fabian BATE has investment, supporters, confidence and infrastructure

Dinamo has none-well club has some infastructure, but its really nothing.

Well now Dila is concentrated in the Championship, before they were thinking about Europa League.

Dinamo played without Loria... so actually the result isn't a sorprise to me, I prefer this kind of competitive championship than one team beating everyone 7-0 and 8-0 as it was before :D
